Keeping it simple with some faux leather leggings and a comfy sweatshirt. What are some of your go-to casual pieces for fall?

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to create a piece of custom clothing through eShakti. They are an online women’s apparel company offering sizes 0-36W and custom clothing. I was excited to look through all of their pieces, and decided on this wool-blend cowl neck dress. I submitted my measurements and was able to specify the tunic length, too. I prefer a sheath dress to fit above the knee, that way my silhouette doesn’t feel short. My experience with eShakti was wonderful and the whole process took under two weeks for my custom-made dress to arrive at my doorstep. My dress is comfortable and a perfect fit!
A good pair of black ankle boots are my fall/winter go-to shoes. Here are a few of my top picks…oh, the choices!
1: Acne Studios // 2: Matisse // 3: United Nude // 4: Vince. // 5: Zara // 6: Sam Edelman

Summer is officially winding down, sad, I know! The weather was great this weekend in Chicago, but I definitely noticed a dip in the temps at night. I find it a bit challenging to make an easy transition into cooler temps and colors. A simple solution besides layers, are neutrals and black on black.

I’ve always liked loafers (not to be confused with boat shoes); they’re both comfortable and versatile. I had my eye on several different pairs for a while, and finally decided on these Prada loafers I spotted in Rome. These will be a great shoe to transition into fall.

I love the combination of crisp whites and blush tones together; they’re so fresh and light. The subtle gold studs on the shoulders add just the right amount of texture and nice little pop. Oh, and you can never go wrong with a pair of snake – embossed leather shoes!
blouse: H&M // cutoffs: Armani Exchange // shades: Prada // sandals: Zara (similar here) // lip: YSL – Rose Stiletto
The weather has been gorgeous these past few days in Chicago, which means I’m out and about as much as possible. I love this little cap-sleeve blouse I picked up at H&M. The material is super thin and a great piece to dress up or wear with cutoffs for running around the city. Have a great Monday!
vest: Zara (similar here) // shades: Marc by Marc Jacobs // bag: Prada // shorts: Zara // sneakers: Vince // lip: Dior Addict – Lip Glow
A bit of sporty with a few polished pieces are ideal for a relaxed, yet put together look. I love combining sneakers with cleans lines and distressed denim; hence my love of basics. Have a great Monday, everyone!

A continuation from yesterday’s post, color story: black & white, I’m highlighting black & white again today! I picked up the comfy shirt from Madewell last summer and it remains a favorite for these sunny days. A pair of denim cutoffs and slides make for a great casual look.
