I hope everyone had a Happy New Year! It’s cold and icy in Chicago, so layers and heavy knitwear are a must. I picked up this high collar sweater in Italy last week and absolutely love it! It’s been on repeat these past few days.

Keeping it simple with a monochromatic look. To me, all black is a great go-to, especially in winter when you’re mostly wearing layers and knitwear. To keep it interesting I added texture and a bright pop of cobalt blue. Have a great Monday!

I love the side zippers on this knit jumper. It’s a fun way to show off the crisp white button down I’m wearing underneath. I decided on a pair of ankle boots and skinny jeans, but this knit will also look great with a pair of distressed jeans and sneakers. Extra zippers are always a fun addition to any wardrobe staple!
If you haven’t already watched it, you need to see the Dior Homme Winter 15/16 fashion show. I love dark and moody runway, full orchestra and a perfectly tailored collection. Men, this is what you need in your closet! The collection celebrates the formality of the dinner tail suit in today’s high-tech world. The pieces are contemporary, yet refined and practical. Perfection!

If you live in Chicago, you must own a down parka to survive the winter. I believe that I now own the warmest down parka available. This Canada Goose is extra warm and the hood is oh-so-fluffy and cocoon-like to protect you from the (terrible) winter elements. By far, the greatest purchase I have made!

I love how belting an oversized sweater or cardigan can completely change a look. Keeping it simple with neutrals and clean lines.

As you can see, it’s time for snow boots in Chicago. I found these Stuart Weitzman boots a few months ago when I began prepping my closet for winter clothes and assessing what warm accessories I needed to pick up this season to survive another winter.
