Dior Secret Garden II – Versailles
This short clip by Dior is another beautiful display of French fashion at it’s best – balanced, chic, and effortless. The 2013 fall collection is brought to life at the Grand Trianon. The main purpose of the Grand Trianon was to provide an escape from daily court life at Versailles. King Louis XIV ordered reconstruction on the current palace in 1687, as the porcelain on the first palace was disintegrating. The structure we see here, is twice the size and made of beautiful pink marble. Just like Versailles, the Grand Trianon is surrounded by beautiful gardens and forests. Enjoy some beautiful architecture, Dior, and Depeche Mode!
Dior Secret Garden – Versailles
This short clip by Dior is a brilliant display of fashion, history, architecture and aesthetic. French fashion is highlighted as being a perfectly balanced mix of chic minimalism and effortless luxury. The Hall of Mirrors in Versailles is (naturally) the most appropriate setting for this clip. When construction on the Hall of Mirrors began in 1678, mirrors were still considered a great luxury. The 17 arched mirrors are matched by 17 widows facing the Gardens, letting in the sunshine and breathtaking view. Enjoy a little bit of elegance and Depeche Mode!
