I’m loving this Gucci video highlighting the women’s spring & summer 2017 collection. It’s in Rome, lions & tigers, gold, dancing in the Fontana di Trevi! Just watch it!

Overalls, a crisp button down and loafers are the perfect combination of comfort and easy styling. It’s beginning to feel and look like fall in Chicago, so it’s time to start making that switch to longer sleeves, layers and boots. What are some of your go-to pieces when transitioning into the cooler fall weather?

While I love summer and it’s my favorite time of year, I do look forward to wearing layers as the weather cools down. I picked up this cropped jacket over the weekend and can’t wait to add it into my fall routine. I love the clean line and subtle texture it has; it’s easily dressed up or down with jeans and heels or loafers. What are some of you favorite go-to pieces in-between seasons?

An all-black look is a no brainier. It’s chic, effortless, and easy to put together. So why not add a touch of gold for a pop of color and excitement, you know?! I’ve been wearing more scarves these past few weeks, too. It’s a perfect summer hair solution for short hair and adds some texture to any look.

I’m sure you noticed mules and slides are the trend this year for spring. Here a few of of my favorites. Happy weekend!

With the long winters in Chicago, it’s so important to have great winter boots. First and foremost, they must be warm. We have sub-zero temps, bone chilling wind and we can get a lot of snow. These White Water Duck Boots from Sperry are perfect for such conditions. They are warm and extra soft with a faux fur lining. The rubber outsole provides good traction – especially important when the city is glazed with ice and snow.
This post was a collaboration with Sperry. All thoughts and opinions are my own. Thank you for supporting collaborations with Taffeta and Cedar!

It felt like spring this past weekend in Chicago! I’m pretty sure the entire city was out and about enjoying the sunshine and temps in the 60’s! So I took this opportunity to shed some layers and play with some spring styling. I love the cut and length of this button down. It feels fresh and has great movement with the extra long back. As aways, keeping it classic and minimal.

Adding an oversized scarf is the easiest way to make a look come together. It adds texture, color and movement. I picked up this striped foulard in Florence last December and it’s been the prefect addition to so many outfits. Oh, and you can never have too many scarves during the winter. They’re a lifesaver for both inside and outside!
