It’s October, I guess that means it’s time to pack away the summer sandals and switch to boots and close-toed shoes for six long months. I do love a classic boot, jeans and comfy sweater or tee. Stripes and denim are a classic combo. I love the button detail on the shoulder, it’s a little pop of asymmetry and extra interest. This shirt is the perfect weight and softness for cooler temps, too! Slides and mules are still big thing and I love them, as I mentioned here. So, I had to add these fluffy shoes into my fall wardrobe!

While I love summer and it’s my favorite time of year, I do look forward to wearing layers as the weather cools down. I picked up this cropped jacket over the weekend and can’t wait to add it into my fall routine. I wore this dress to an event Thanksgiving weekend. I wanted something with long sleeves, clean lines and mid-length. You know, it’s November and dressing for formal events can be difficult in the winter. Though, I love everything about this dress! It’s comfortable, chic and easy to style. I added a pop of snakeskin and kept my accessories simple.

This fall has been unseasonably mild for Chicago – no complaints from me! Though a warmer and water-resistant trench is a versatile option to get your through the chillier days ahead. I just added this one to my closet, mostly because of the button-out quilted liner and detachable hood. So, it’s perfect for both warm and chilly temperatures. A win-win all around!
