This short clip by Dior is a brilliant display of fashion, history, architecture and aesthetic. French fashion is highlighted as being a perfectly balanced mix of chic minimalism and effortless luxury. The Hall of Mirrors in Versailles is (naturally) the most appropriate setting for this clip. When construction on the Hall of Mirrors began in 1678, mirrors were still considered a great luxury. The 17 arched mirrors are matched by 17 widows facing the Gardens, letting in the sunshine and breathtaking view. Enjoy a little bit of elegance and Depeche Mode!
citrus orange sweater
sweater: United Colors of Benetton, jacket: ASOS (similar here), jeans: Armani Exchange, boots: Steve Madden, bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs, lip: Marc Jacobs
I’ve been wearing a lot of neutrals lately, and while I love blacks and grays, a nice pop of color is always fun. This sweater is a bright dose of color and adds some excitement to a pair of jeans and comfortable boots. A hint of maroon and a leather jacket are subtle and easy details to bring everything together. Have a great Monday!

asymmetrical knit
sweater: Sisley (similar here), pants: Zara, bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim, boots: Zara, lip: YSL, bracelets: H&M and Old Navy, earrings: Hook & Matter
As I mentioned here, I love clean lines and aysemmetrical design. It’s just such a classic element of design that always feels refreshing and luxurious. Since this sweater is a larger piece, I paired it with a slim pant and pointy boot. Dark colors at their best with some cobalt and a hint of bright red to add a pop of color.
white bean soup
One of my favorite dishes to enjoy during the cold months is a bowl of hot soup. Thankfully, Chicago offers so many delicious soup cafes and restaurants. And sometimes I enjoy making a large pot of soup at home! Enjoy!

cozy layers
sweater: Armani Exchange (similar here), chambray: Old Navy (similar here), pants: Zara (similar here), boots: Bocage (similar here), bag: Marc by Marc Jacobs, bracelet and watch: Marc by Marc Jacobs, lip: YSL
These past few days have been extra cold and windy. So, that means cozy layers for me! I opted for something comfortable and easy to work with. This sweater adds some edge and goes nicely with the utilitarian feel of the cargo pants. A pair of casual boots with minimal details and a hobo bag keep it simple. Stay warm!
polka dot sweater
coat: Zara, sweater: Rinascimento, pants: Armani Exchange, boots: Zara, bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target, lip: YSL, glasses: Prada
When I wear black and white together, it always feels so classic and effortless. I found this sweater last fall in Italy and it’s the perfect amount of polka dots. As I mentioned here, a neutral coat is a great piece to wear day-to-day and I love the hood on this one! As always, a red lip is a striking pop. Have a great Monday!

muted colors
sweater: Old Navy (similar here), scarf: Zara (similar here), jeans: Armani Exchange, Lipstick: YSL, bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim , boots: Bocage
This look is a nice mix of elevated basics. This sweater is a step above a relaxed long sleeved tee and adds some interest to grey on grey. I jazzed it up with a bold scarf, pop of cobalt, and a red lip. Have a great Thursday!
fall favorites
With the weather changing to cooler temperatures and there being less humidity, this means changes to our skin will happen. I have selected a few of my favorite products that I swear by for keeping me hydrated and looking fresh through the season change.
1. JĀSÖN – Revitalizing Wheat Germ Vitamin E Hand & Body Lotion
* A creamy moisturizer for dry skin that’s aroma neutral.
2. Aveda – Balancing Infusion
* I like to add 2-3 drops to my body moisturizer to help soothe and add extra hydration to my skin. Bonus: it smells wonderful – ylang ylang and patchouli oils.
3. Aveda – Pure-fume Spirit Spray
* This is a perfectly blended aroma custom made in an Aveda salon, spa, or experience center. My favorite is #6.
4. Prada – Amber
* This is my most favorite aroma. I’ve been wearing it consistently for 7 years. It’s a perfect blend of spice, sandalwood, and elegance. Seriously!
5. Chanel – Joues Contraste Powder Blush – Rose Bronze
* You can never go wrong with Chanel! Rose Bronze is a beautiful warm color and smells like fresh roses.
6. Dior – Gel Coat
* This gel coat adds extra shine and longevity to your mani & pedi.
7. Essie – Sand Tropez
* A great neutral for everyday.
