I hope everyone is staying warm and safe while this arctic blast makes it’s way through most of the Midwest. It’s been snowing almost non-stop in Chicago since New Year’s Eve. Ugh! Today many places are closed due to the temperature dipping down to -14°, not taking into consideration the wind chill. A great day to stay inside watching movies and taking it easy. Stay warm!
Chanel released this film directed by Karl Lagerfeld to celebrate Chanel’s return in 1953. After fifteen years of absence, she reopens her Haute Couture house. The collection was not initially welcomed by the French, although the American media supported the rebirth of her signature Chanel style. Enjoy!

Happy 2014! These past few weeks have been super busy, so a casual day is long overdue! I love this French lesson tee; it’s soft, linen, and a comfortable fit. Today’s ensemble is a mix of two of my staples: knitwear and black. I love the contrasting large and small knit gauges on this sweater. Even though it’s a heavy kit, the raglan sleeves give it a chic and refined finish. I kept it simple with a black skinny pant and coat. A bold red lip gives my look the right amount of pop.
