Ok, so overalls are back! They seem to come and go out of style every few years; glad they’re back! As I mentioned here, this pair has been on my Spring/Summer must-have list. They are a great alternative to a pair of jeans and have a relaxed fit. I also love the tapered legs, it’s perfect for cuffing and wearing with a sandal or sneaker.
Here are a few of my favorite looks from the Steven Alan Spring Collection. I’m loving the combination of crisp cuts and relaxed pieces. These light colors and fabrics are so refreshing to see, since we’ve been wearing winter layers for so many months! Can you imagine how wonderful it will feel to just get ready and skip all the layers? I have so many Spring looks I’m ready to start wearing! I’ve been looking for a few new pieces of jewelry to add to my Spring accessories, and recently discovered Margaret Elizabeth. Layering scarves together is a great way to keep warm and add texture to a look. I like draping two scarves together around my neck and shoulders once or twice, depending on the length or size of the scarves. And it’s an easy way to jazz up a look or add a pop of color. Leather, jeans and a sweater. So simple, yet so great! The perfect combination of comfort and cool. A pink lip adds a touch of softness and compliments my subtle gold accessories. And you can never go wrong with a leather jacket, as long as it’s warm enough!

The slip-on sneaker is back and ready for Spring! My sneakers are typically for the gym or running outside; never really embraced the sneaker and jeans combo. However, I’m totally into a pair (or two) of slip-on sneakers for this Spring and Summer. There are so many great colors and patterns available, too. Such an effortless and comfortable element to any look!

The weather is finally warming up in Chicago. The snow is melting and I believe this is the first shoot since November that doesn’t include piles (and piles) of snow! All-white is so refreshing and simple. A gray sweater coat and simple gold accessories add just the right amount of color. Black oxfords and a black bag are classic and effortless.
