I’m looking forward to watching this behind-the-scenes look at the creation of Raf Simons’ first haute couture collection as new artistic director of Dior. It just opened in select theaters over weekend. Until then, be sure to watch the trailer below.
boyfriend jeans
shirt: Vince // jeans: United Colors of Benetton // bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim // shades: Prada // lip: NARS – Cruella
There’s nothing like a comfortable pair of relaxed boyfriend jeans. They’re so easy to dress up or down with the right pieces. Since the weather has been Spring-like in Chicago, I decided to unpack my strappy sandals and sport a casual linen long sleeve with my comfy boyfriend jeans.
weekend
weekend inspiration: clean lines and bright sunlight at The Art Institute of Chicago.
L’Intemporel de Chanel
This limited edition L’Intemporel de Chanel eyeshadow palette is gorgeous! Not only are the colors bold, it’s embossed with the leather-braided chain of the iconic 2.55 bag. It’s almost too pretty to use!
black & white stripes
top: Zara // jeans: Acne Studios // bag: 3.1 Phillip Lim // shoes: Vince // shades: Marc by Marc Jacobs
A flowy blouse and jeans are easy for spring weather. To keep this look simple, I accessorized with classic pieces: black pumps, black bag and black sunnies.
Figuier Hourglass Diffuser
I’ve always loved having candles and aroma throughout my living space. It can completely change a room by creating a unique and inviting interior for both you and guests. There are so many different types of air care available. I avoid synthetic aromas and aerosol sprays, as they are harmful to the environment and tend to smell artificial. Soy candles and diffusers are my top choices. This hourglass diffuser from Diptyque is a nice alternative to a candle, and it works without heat or electricity. Both a safe and beautiful alternative to freshen your home for Spring!
shades of grey
vest: Zara // shirt: Vince // jeans: Armani Exchange // shoes: Vince // shades: Céline
Going for a monochromatic look in shades of grey and a few black pieces. Transitioning from winter clothes to lighter spring pieces is a challenge in the Midwest. The temperatures are up and down and it’s inconsistent for a good month and a half. My solution is to layer, but with lighter fabrics and I always have a scarf at arms reach!
Casa Santa Marta
Weekend Inspiration: Last April when I was in Roma for the Beatification of Pope John XXIII and Pope John Paul II, I was able to visit Casa Santa Marta. It’s located inside Vatican City and is currently where Pope Francis resides. The photo I took above is of his private chapel. Have a happy Easter weekend!
cheek & lip glow
This Cheek & Lip Glow from Dior adds just the right amount of a pink glow to your face. Create a dewy look on your cheekbones or something a bit more matte by simply rubbing it in more on your cheeks. And we all know you can never have too many lip glosses in your makeup bag! A perfect addition to your Spring makeup routine.
white & grey
shirt: Old Navy // pants: Daryl K // shades: Prada // lip: YSL – Rose Stiletto
A white button down with slate grey pants is a fresh look for spring. To keep it simple, I added some neutral accessories and a soft pink lip.
