I’m looking forward to watching the documentary about Iris Apfel. It’s opening in select theaters tomorrow, April 29th! Until then, be sure to watch this trailer about the 93-year-old style expert who has been part of the New York fashion scene for decades. What a creative inspiration for both fashion and art.
long sleeves

Today’s look is all about dressing for cooler spring temperatures. A long sleeve button up shirt over a tee, jeans, and pointy flats make for a warm and casual combination.

weekend inspiration #34: love locks on the Pont de l’Archevêché a/k/a love lock bridge in Paris.
Louboutin expands nude tones
Christian Louboutin expanded his signature nude pumps. There are now five different shades to choose from – two more will be added to complete the range – offering shades that better match the skin tones of women around the world.

sporty casual
jacket: Vince // tee: Isabel Marant // bag: Prada // sneakers: Vince // shades: Marc by Marc Jacobs
A bit of sporty with a few polished pieces are ideal for a relaxed, yet put together look. I love combining slip-on sneakers with structured pieces; hence my love of basics. And you can never go wrong with a comfy pair of shoes!
Uniqlo x Carine Roitfeld
This is a collaboration I’m really looking forward to seeing this fall. The collection will be available in October, and I can image it will be a perfect balance of clean lines and Parsian chic! If only Chicago had a Uniqlo store!

mid-length skirt
top: Zara // skirt: H&M // shoes: 3.1 Phillip Lim // shades: Céline // lip: YSL – Rose Stiletto
I usually stay away from mid-length skirts and dresses since they make me feel shorter. But I love the pattern and flow of this one I picked up at H&M. Simple and chic! I decided on a slim pointy toe flat, though this is look great with a heeled sandal this Summer.

a short sleeve go-to

I love wearing flowy button-down shirts during the warmer months, and was excited to find this one last week at H&M for just $17! I generally invest in quality over quantity and always make sure it’s something that I really love, not just a label or trend piece. It’s important to purchase items with a purpose. I wear my favorite pieces over and over, whether it be a flowy shirt for $17 or a great investment bag or shoe. Less is more!
