weekend inspiration #40: this gorgeous floral wall in Capri!
Turkish towels
Turkish towels are lightweight woven cotton, making them ideal to use as a summer bath towel or as a beach towel. I picked these up last summer in Istanbul from Shahrazade, a shop inside the Grand Bazaar. I love how quickly they dry, and the towels seem to feel softer the more you use them!

weekend inspiration #37: Hagia Sophia in Istanbul. I took this picture last August when my husband and I traveled back to Istanbul to visit some friends. The Hagia Sophia was built in 537 as an Orthodox Basilica, then became a Roman Catholic Cathedral for a short time, later an Imperial mosque and is now a museum. The building is an architectural wonder, especially the construction of the dome. Learn more about Hagia Sophia here.
up in the coulds
I took this picture over the weekend on my flight back to Chicago. I’ve always loved looking at the strange puffy shapes of clouds, and flying though them is even more exciting! Have a great Tuesday!

Iris Apfel trailer
I’m looking forward to watching the documentary about Iris Apfel. It’s opening in select theaters tomorrow, April 29th! Until then, be sure to watch this trailer about the 93-year-old style expert who has been part of the New York fashion scene for decades. What a creative inspiration for both fashion and art.
