I love, love, love the Chloé Spring 2014 Collection. The feminine colors, deep necklines, and boyish cuts are a perfectly balanced display of French finesse. Look 1 and look 5 are my favorites and could see myself wearing over and over. I’m enjoying the loose fitting pants and platform sandals I’ve been seeing on the Spring runways, too.

I hope everyone is staying warm and safe while this arctic blast makes it’s way through most of the Midwest. It’s been snowing almost non-stop in Chicago since New Year’s Eve. Ugh! Today many places are closed due to the temperature dipping down to -14°, not taking into consideration the wind chill. A great day to stay inside watching movies and taking it easy. Stay warm!
Chanel released this film directed by Karl Lagerfeld to celebrate Chanel’s return in 1953. After fifteen years of absence, she reopens her Haute Couture house. The collection was not initially welcomed by the French, although the American media supported the rebirth of her signature Chanel style. Enjoy!
Thank you for your enthusiastic support in 2013!
I look forward to sharing more of the little things in 2014.
Have a fantastic New Year!

For travel, I opt for comfort and a monochromatic palette. I like to layer and have a scarf at the ready. It keeps me cozy during the flight since it always seems chilly, no matter the season. As I mentioned here, I like to travel light and efficiently. For a weekend trip I pack a carry-on suitcase and large bag to tote around my toiletries, book, purse, and iPad mini. If you’re traveling during the Holidays, try packing light and saving a little extra room for those presents! Safe travels, everyone!
