While I love summer and it’s my favorite time of year, I do look forward to wearing layers as the weather cools down. I picked up this cropped jacket over the weekend and can’t wait to add it into my fall routine. I’m back from a wonderful vacation to Croatia, Bosnia and Italy – view the highlights on @taffetaandcedar. Days before I left for Italy, I picked up these wide-leg pants at Uniqlo…and I love them! They are perfect for travel and can be dressed up or down. I wore them to dinner a couple of times and for our train ride from Rome to Venice, which is about 3.5 hours. I love having short hair, it’s been variations of short for over 10 years. I tried growing it out this past winter and it was torture  uncomfortable. Though in the warmer months I like having it out of my face, especially when it’s humid or while I’m at the beach. Since I’m not a fan of bobby pins and clips, my solution is a large scarf. Yes, it’s that simple and pretty chic, too!

It’s still chilly in Chicago, so I’m wearing layers and pretending it’s spring. All white always feels fresh and extra chic to me. I added a heel and pink lip to keep my look feeling extra feminine. Black shades and a blazer with clean lines for the win! Let’s get Monday started!
