I love the pop of yellow on this dress. A few simple accessories and large bag made this look so easy and comfortable. More dresses and skirts are on my fall shopping list.

This is a comfortable mix of summer and fall pieces. These pants are great summer staple and transition well into the early weeks of fall. Since the weather has been warm, I decided to pair them with a lightweight knit sweater and d’orsay flats. A casual and polished look for your Monday!

Mixing up denim pieces can be fun. The key to making it work is pairing different shades together, that way it doesn’t look like a solid piece of denim from head to toe. I feel this past year chambray shirts became a staple in everyone’s wardrobe. They are a great versatile piece that carries well from season to season. Since the weather has been so chilly in the mornings these past couple of weeks, it’s been perfect for layers. This poncho is so comfortable and adds an extra element of fun to my look.

This top has all the design elements that I love: clean lines, asymmetry, and a neutral color. The draped pocket is simple, yet I feel is makes this piece so unique. I decided on a super skinny pant and slim pointed ankle boot to keep everything subtle and balanced. A maroon lip adds a little pop of color.

I found this beautiful raw silk infinity scarf this past weekend at Dovetail while enjoying Chicago’s West Town Art Walk. This scarf is handmade here in Chicago by Argaman & Defiance . I love the texture of the raw silk and the organic dye line – each scarf is unique because of the hand dye process. Keeping it simple with some stripes, skinny jeans, and slip-on shoes. It’s a great feeling when I go to my closet and quickly pick out an easy outfit for the day. A bold stripe makes a statement and you can never go wrong with a skinny jean and comfortable shoes.

An oversized sweater is a great wardrobe staple. It is perfect for layering and wearing in place of a jacket during these early weeks of autumn. I love black and white together, especially the pattern on this sweater. A neutral bag and deep maroon lip compliment this look. Oh, and the cat earrings are a fun detail!

 A nice pop of color makes my monochromatic black more interesting. It’s rare that I select a loud pattern, though the cut of this tuxedo shirt is classic. It’s a versatile piece, despite it being so bold. This shirt can be worn open as a blazer over a tee, with a pair of jeans and booties. Have a great Monday!

An army green shirt and leather jacket are great fall transition pieces. I scooped up this leather jacket earlier this year from ASOS.  I wanted something with a little bit of edge but not covered in buckles and rivets. And guess who’s having a great sale?! As soon as I saw the preview pieces for the 3.1 Phillip Lim for Target collection earlier this summer, this sweatshirt was first on my list. It reminded me of the 1960’s Batman show. I decided to dress it up a bit with some patent leather oxfords and a pair of black pants. A perfect way to transition into the cooler weather. Have a great week!
