I don’t wear too many patterns, but I love these black and white polka dots. They’re classic and add a fun pop to my look. I’ve also been sporting this leather jacket quite a bit these past few days. All black with a few neutrals, leather, and a big scarf is my fall uniform. Throw in some knits here and there and you basically have it! Scarves are my go-to accessory, especially when they are the same size as a small blanket. Not only do they provide layers of warmth, but they add so much texture and interest to any look.

Time to officially switch to a warmer wardrobe for fall. Layers, textures, long sleeves and boots for months (and months) ahead. I love the relaxed fit of overalls and paired these with a large scarf and simple long sleeve tee for comfort.

An oversized blazer is a great transition staple for fall weather. Since it’s been warm in Chicago these past few weeks, I’ve been wearing this one as a jacket over lightweight shirts and tees. But we all know it’s going to get chilly soon, and when it does, it will be a great piece to layer over knitwear and accessorize with scarves. What are some of your favorite jackets or blazers?

I love the simplicity of black and white together; it’s classic and effortless. A moody lip is a nice pop of color, and you can never go wrong with a pointy shoe. Have a nice Monday!

A few weeks ago I had the opportunity to create a piece of custom clothing through eShakti. They are an online women’s apparel company offering sizes 0-36W and custom clothing. I was excited to look through all of their pieces, and decided on this wool-blend cowl neck dress. I submitted my measurements and was able to specify the tunic length, too. I prefer a sheath dress to fit above the knee, that way my silhouette doesn’t feel short. My experience with eShakti was wonderful and the whole process took under two weeks for my custom-made dress to arrive at my doorstep. My dress is comfortable and a perfect fit!

A simple sweater with a pair of white jeans is an easy way to transition into fall colors. I picked up this neural knit in a small boutique when shopping in Rome last month. I know it’s going to be a go-to piece for these next few weeks. It’s easy to dress up and will look great with a pair of sneakers and boyfriend jeans.

Summer is officially winding down, sad, I know! The weather was great this weekend in Chicago, but I definitely noticed a dip in the temps at night. I find it a bit challenging to make an easy transition into cooler temps and colors. A simple solution besides layers, are neutrals and black on black.
